Happy Memorial Day, my friends.
I'd like to take a moment to honor those who lost their lives while in military service. I'd like to acknowledge, and thank, the families of those who lost their loved ones in the line of duty. One doesn't need to support the machine of war to support our troops. And I thank each and every member of the U.S. Military who put their lives on the line everyday. From the bottom of my heart: Thank-you.
Old school rules of ettiquette dictates Memorial Day as the first day appropiate to wear white shoes. And you have until Labor day, at which time one must primly pack up said zapatos blancos and resume to the sombre hues of wintry dark leathers Miss Emily Post would tsk-tak those who were gauche enough to wear non-athletic white shoes before or after this date. As a lover of fashion history, I delight in this trivia. So I'm busting out my vintage white leather brogues for the occasion. Hope you enjoy. xo. -Bella Q
