New Sponsor: The Missing Piece

The New York  based treasure trove you can shop online: themissingpieceonline.com
I'd like to introduce my new April sponsor a few days early.

Say hello to The Missing Piece, a New York based consignment shop now available online.
The Missing Piece was founded in 2008, by a Ms. Samantha Brown, a life-long fashion aficionado, while attending NYU as a studio Art major. Samantha got her start by hosting a series of clothing parties & private sales out of her apartment, and The Missing Piece has since evolved into a lovely consignment boutique.

The Missing Piece, is a full service consignment shop specializing in new & pre-loved designer clothing, shoes & accessories.  Samantha offers closet clean outs, clothing pick ups, as well as personal shopping and styling. The Missing Piece can be shopped in NYC by appointment or online at any time at themissingpieceonline.com

I love the idea of a good consignment boutique and who can resist one you can shop 24-7?

Meet Samantha Brown: stylist, personal shopper, and proprietress of The Missing Piece
I wanted to get to know Samantha, so I asked her a few questions and learned quite a bit! Like, for example, I learned that Samantha worked as an intern for New York Fashion Week at the young age of 14! She also worked briefly as a photo stylist for Nylon Magazine and is currently the sales director for Diamer Fine Jewelry. I found out that Samantha's fashion icons aren't so much a gaggle of famous celebrities but real life people that she sees and knows. Right now she's totally into the '70 vibe of glam glitter and platforms and  that "99.9% of the time,"  you'll find Sam wearing all black. When I asked her to pick a feminist fashion icon, Sam swiftly answered: "Joan Jett, all the way!"
(EDIT) April 29th, 2011 is the launch party for The Missing Piece so if you are in the New York City area, you may want to stop by and check out her shop. You can reach Sam by email at: Sambstyle@aol.com

(UPDATE: So I originally wrote that TONIGHT is the Launch party, exactly one month in advance. Yes I am a time traveller apparently. The correct date is one month from today, Friday April 29th.
My apologies for the inaccuracy

LATEST UPDATE: According to my party evite sent to me from Sam at The Missing Piece, There is a launch party TONIGHT and another shin-dig on April 29th, so if you can't make it to the Big Apple tonight, you have next month! -Bella Q)

For those of us on the "Left Coast," or farther abroad, we can still shop online. And as a Citizen Rosebud reader you can take 10% off your purchase with the promo code: "Rosebud."

Ooh -- going to bookmark it. I'm always interested in easily shoppable designer consignment. I don't mind buying "the good stuff" pre-owned, as long as it's in nice shape. Congratulations on your new sponsor!
