|When it comes to the great outdoors, Francis the Cat likes what he sees.|
ON THE LOOKOUT: Francis is leaving his coquettish kitten-dom behind and is rapidly growing into a handsome young cat. Seeming a bit of a teenager, he is good at playing a churlish rebel and getting into things he knows he shouldn't be getting into, climbing curtains he shouldn't be climbing and yowling loudly if nobody's paying him the attention he deserves.
We've introduced the great outdoors to him, at least in a cat harness and leash, which he seems "ok" with. He's a bit nervous, but determinedly curious but seems to prefer being held and walked about around our yard. He's seems very intrigued by the sights and smells the beckon him outside. I don't think he's destined to be an indoors only sort of feline, judging by the way he daydreams at the window.
Today, we'll be paying a visit to the vet, where Francis will get more kitty shots, so he'll be healthy and ready to take on the great outdoors. Watch out world!
oh, no, the vet visit
Francis is growing into such a handsome boy! Yes, cats are intrigued by the outdoors, and I think it's a good idea to try the leash or harness idea. I've seen a couple of cats get hit by cars, so I could never have an indoor/outdoor cat. Good luck at the vet!
Francis is so adorable! Yay for adopting cats!
All my cats are indoor, but we are thinking of building a "catio" off of a back window next summer so they can go outside, but still be safe :)
your cat is lovely!
