Outfit Post: Florida Florals

Warning: There are a lot of florals in today's post.

It's unseasonably warm summer weather, here. I think my boyfriend summed it up best when he asked me if was retiring anytime soon to Florida  I guess my big bulky blue sweater and riotous mix of pink florals and tourist white sandals,  that I am looking a bit like a Florida retiree.

I am loving these flat practical 1990's era white leather sandals. They look like classy Birkenstocks, which remind me of those "it kicks" by Celine" and therefore, cool. Ha ha.

What IS super cool is this top- the vivid colors and prints remind me of the Helga-Sarah-Vix mix, the print is something I can see in a jumpsuit for Sarah, a shift for Helga and a maxi for Vix. I've been wearing it a lot- somehow it seems to go with everything. So warning: the next outfit post may possibly also feature this top.

Today's outfit is 99% thrfted. The sunglasses were from Target, purchased for $12 nearly 5 years ago. So not exactly new. And they aren't going into retirement anytime soon.

#SHOPSECONDHANDFIRST 99% Thrifted. 100% Blooming

Super fun Bella! When I saw the black and white photo, I immediately thought of DoodleArt, in a good way! I just got an itch to fill in the colour with my sharpies.

I've seen some double floral mashups that are in dire need of an intervention -- you, no surprise, mix masterfully. I'll issue them a visual violation fix-it ticket and send them to the Bella mixology school.
(Why am I so grumpy today?)

You're a veritable bouquet! Note to self: check into white sandals.

You're a garden of earthly delights! Your boyfriend's comment sounds very much like Curtise's partner saying she looked like she was dressed for a church picnic! Men just don't get it.

You're lookin' good, buddy.

Your bouquet ensemble is just what the summer florist asked for. Leave it to you, Bella to mix floral with floral and still make it a masterpiece.

I lived in Florida for 25 years and you do NOT look anything like a retiree LOL! I'm jealous that your legs look so terrific in shorts. What a great, easy warm weather outfit ;-)

OMG I think my look is a Florida tourist....I bet your BF would say that if I met him :) I'm totally down with all kinds of florals mashed up! See ya soon Bella Bo!

Sweet combos, our Bella. You wear them so well. Great stuff, and you look lovely.

That shirt WOULD make a fab maxi!! Please order two, one for Vix and one for me. I admire your mixes and laughed at the comment from your sweetie. Nowadays Joey doesn't say much since people on the street will often give me compliments on stuff I've made. In the beginning he didn't get it at all. No problem, right? That's part of our allure, being ourselves despite the lovingly raised eyebrow. :-) Love you!!! Stay cool.

'Riotous mix of colors' is so right on! Your eye never ceases to amaze me. The scarf and pin only add to the allure of this ensemble The black and white photos allow the patterns to be seen in a unique way. Brilliant is all that I can say.

It's quite warm here in central GA too. This is a great mix of florals, which I love! The shirt is fab and I can totally see the print on Sarah, Helga, and Vix too!

Fun, Bella! LOVE your crazy retiree look! Sometimes, ya just gotta do it! Wacky-tacky has a way of lifting one's spirits. :)

I've got a couple of short, super loud, vintage mumus from places with names like Peg's Tiki Togs. Their names alone cracks me up! I wear them when it's way too hot here in SoCal for clothes in general. I refer to this as my "retirement community hairdresser" look.

Rock on with your bright and flowery self, girl!

Boyfriend is right! I see many people dress this way here in South Florida.
You just need to add some high socks and some runners and start to complain about the heat and the drivers and I feel right at home.
