Outfit Post: Infinity

I wore this easy wearing navy blue polka dot frock from JACOB the other day, when I went to meet my friend Mary at the airport. She's visiting from my hometown, and I tried to show her the grandeur of my new city, Seattle. Seattle was dolled up in the most charming weather, all sunny and glorious, with birds singing and flowers blooming and everybody smiling. Bells and whistles. All stops.

I wanted to look cute, but needed comfort as I was going to be out and about and walking most the day- the dress fit the bill. (And, for any Canadian readers: it is ON SALE!) I loved the lightweight and sheer layers of the dress, and the high on the waist, cinch tie. My simple pile up of polka dots was met with Mary's high approval, as she was also sporting the dots, a black cotton A-line that she had picked up last summer from me! We had a blast exploring some of my favorite spots in Ballard, and we looked good (and comfortable doing it.) That's what I LOVE about the polka dot print- it really looks good in almost any situation.

Including hang-time with a good girlfriend.

Now Wearing:
  • folding sun-hat
  • navy polka dot sun-dress c/o JACOB
  • black polka dot handbag, Goodwill
  • red converse, Target

Polka dots are my weakness! I'll be writing about them on my own blog in the future. This look says fun and flirty without being juvenile. Love the color and shape of the dress; nice all around!

Was it planned that she would wear polka dots too? It's really cool that it ended up that way...and I love the red sneaks.

How fun that the two of you sported your lovely dots without consultation. By the way, the folding sun hat is fabulous; I love the shape, structure, size and color.

Love polka dots. I have a similar sunhat, I got it from a native tribe in India when I visited Kerala to meet my husband's family. I should figure out an outfit to wear it with. Thanks for the inspiration!

How cool that you were both dotted! I, too, have been drawn to the cinch waist lately, and I found a really cute dress (PJs top?) this week that has just that. It was floral, and so were my leggings. I took pictures in the garden, so I felt like I was blooming madly.

I love this look - perfect shoe pairing! What size Converse do you wear? I should send you all of mine, since Tulsa doesn't do much Converse. It's mostly an open toe place.
