Product Review: Easy Canvas Prints

With all my snaps on Instagram, you probably can guess I like to take photos. So vanity getting the best of me, I said yes to a chance to review Easy Canvas Prints, an online service that lets you customize any image of your choosing into a work of art for your walls.

The following is a review of their image transfer to canvas service.

Now I should tell you, I did this quite a while ago, and have just now gone about to write about it. There's a reason for that,  albeit a lousy one- so bear with me a bit. This was back in last March/April, and I had just moved to Seattle, so was living out of a suitcase. The image I selected for transfer was a lovely rose photo. I love the Peace rose, and often snap photos of this gorgeous rose variety whenever I walk past one. Truly this bloom is one of my all time floral favorites, I feel soothed by the blush of pinks and butter yellows of the petals.

Unfortunately for me, the size of canvas selected for me to review was rectangular, so the  square graphic of my Instagram photos are lost a bit. My main complaint is that I spent way to much time trying to find an image that looked best in a rectangular and not square format. This would have been solved if I had been able to select a large square canvas for image transfer.  In fact when Easy Canvas Prints announced the service of transferring Instagram images into prints, I was surprised to see that they don't necessarily offer up a  square canvas to do so. I'll admit, it seems more like cashing in on the Instagram brand, than actually helping their customers transfer favorite Instagram images exactly.

I would prefer that Easy Canvas Prints create a link to a variety of square canvases options in which to transfer your actual Instagram images; but no matter, the product they sell is a good one. And my image is a great picture. I was very impressed with how well the transfer print captured the rich colors of my rose photo, I thought it resembled a quality painting. Upon receiving my order, I promptly hung the beautiful print near my bed, the rose being such a pleasing image to wake up to.

Now here comes the confession- I've misplaced the canvas during my recent move, and
due to a computer bug, I've lost the photos taken of it hanging. So, oh dear, I haven't the exact image of my Easy Canvas print to show you. Which is why I've put off writing this review for so long. BUT...I'm now planning to move AGAIN, so who knows when I'll find the picture? Not me. I do know that Easy Canvas is a fun product and very easy to create your own custom images from a digital print into a beautiful wall hanging.

What a neat idea. Sorry you lost the canvas. Moving? Long move or short move?

Cool idea, I find that Instagram sometimes compresses my pictures too much. How does easy canvas get a high enough res picture for them to blow it up on a canvas?
