Window Shopping: Plead the Fifth

PLEAD THE FIFTH. When it comes to guilty pleasures, I'm going to plead the Fifth. Mum on what makes my heart go tick-tick-tick, especially when I do some window shopping at Saks.  As in Saks Fifth Avenue, famous for their window displays and amazing designer goods. Gah, my mouth's watering already. I'm not going to pretend I shop there all the time, since you all know I took the pledge to SHOP SECONDHAND FIRST, and I'm not sure my budget allows indulgences such as what I am about to show you.

But trust me, my angels,  how I'd LOVE to do a little major shop-shop, and come home with some of these tasty temptations. Wouldn't you?

THOU SHALL NOT WANT. But. I. Want. These riveting studded sandals by Christian Louboutin have got my attention. What is it about that guy that makes me want to rob a bank and bankroll my shoe collection? Look at these, get on your knees and pray for miracles!

IT'S NUDE TO ME. Let it be known that my naked desires include nude shoes, and Chloe is batting 1000 with platform and ballerina flats versions of nudie-pink shoe lust. These ballerina flats are making goo-goo eyes at me, people! How adorable would we look in those? On pointe! The platform cork numbers have got me doing a shimmy-shimmy-shake-shake like a burlesque dancer with epilepsy.  There is not one single dress in my closet that wouldn't love to be paired with one of these Chloe classics- that's the naked truth.

TASTY TEMPTATION. Temptation always comes in snake skin, just ask Adam and Eve. These gleaming, golden snakeskin stilettos by Burberry are looking downright irresistible right about now. And now. And. Now. And now.

And....NOW.

NOT-SO-QUIET RIOT. Ok, window shopping at Saks is like a taking a joy ride through the Seven Cardinal Sins. I'm feeling a pile up of avarice, lust, envy, greed and gluttony. Christian Louboutin seems to have created an empire entirely by designing red-soled objects of lust. My avarice becomes so transparent, especially when my eyes fall upon this pair see-through as the sexy striped PVC and patent leather pumps. They've got me doing at least 20 Hail Marys. Loudly. And, there's no quieting my awe and admiration of what looks to be the most glorious shoe in the universe. Behold: booties by Maison Martin Margiela depicting the Milky Way sprawled out against the night sky of cosmic python.
Seriously. Coolest. Kicks. Ever.

Don't forget that tomorrow is SHOE SHINE- our monthly community event where we share the shoes that make us feel like a star! Be sure to visit and post you in your favorite kicks for June!

Oh Bella! Shoes aren't fickle like jeans....they fit all month long, have the power to make a burlap sack look like couture AND are worthy of spending a little extra! Treat yourself girly!!! Big shoe hug!! Serene

Love the snakeskin booties! Like someone once told me (and she was wearing some kind of rainbow snakeskin cowboy boots) - the only thing snakes are good for is shoes.

I'm not usually attracted to nude colours but both pairs of nude shoes are gorgeous, they make me think of a girl I saw at the car boot sale a few weeks back, in a denim dress and nude ballet slippers and she looked lovely. It's nice to look and dream sometimes isn't it? I remember Sophia Loren saying something about trying on dear stuff just so you know what's good, then go and find that same look on the cheap. xx

Being the shoe loving gal that I am, these are some great choices. You are looking so stylish, like one of the window displays. Your hat is fab and mixing of patterns perfection.

Bella, Christian Louboutin would be crazy to not hire you for advertizing. Your wording alone is enough to capture the heart and soul of any show lover. Well Done! I would love to get my cute little feet in a pair of the the nude ballerina's.

Like the comparison to the 7 deadly sins; we should add one more: "you should not expend on shoes more than on your mortgage"!!!!
