Human vs Cyber Monday

I am no machine. Waking up today was hard- after a night of insomnia, my eyes opened to a morning, filled with anxiety. It's Cyber Monday and I have hardly a thing in my online shop. I've been busy, offline, setting up my little space inside Beats and Bohos, in Phinney, getting it freshly stocked and ready for the holidays, that I ran out of time to list online. As one person, I can only do so much in day, and when my head hits the pillow at night, there's always a long queue of "To Do" waiting for me when I wake up.

On the day where record breaking online shopping gets done, I've got the smallest amount to offer. I'm no Cyborg, so Cyber Monday is best left to the machines and their attached increasingly large corporations.  Instead of waking up and freaking out (as I admittedly am wont to do!) I am making a conscious decision to stay calm and soldier on. After all, I'm only human.

Case in point:

This charming photo. Taken in the shower. This budding entrepreneur works out of her home, and doesn't have a proper photo-studio, so when I need some good light- I get creative. And I've found the window light in the shower works in a pinch.

Lucky for me, this little vintage gem found a good home, just hours after I listed it. It sold to a beauty of a woman, and I look forward in seeing it styled by a very visible her

I've been LOVING my new hat, a gorgeous work of art, handmade by the incredible Dr. Stacy Andre- did you know that doctors make the best artists? She makes beautiful handmade fascinators, using upcycled vintage fabrics and materials, and I've got quite a collection of them. This one, was made especially for me- from gorgeous plaid silk taffeta, some netting and an incredible vintage rhinestone buckle. I wore it out, on its maiden voyage to the Holiday Trunk Show last Saturday, along with my vintage 1950s plaid dress, and 1960s plaid boucle wool jacket. Mad for plaid? Guilty as charged.

Speaking of plaid, my little micro-boutique inside Beats and Bohos has been festooned with loads of vintage plaid goodies- 'Tis the Season! We are stocked with lovely party silks, velvets and sequins, and my best winter plaids. Now to do the same with my online channels, and I'll be good.

Well, since it's Cyber Monday- if you happen to find a lovely something in my shop- use this code (good only for 48 hours!) to get a very humane 20% discount: HURRAH. Right now, I don't have international shipping prices listed, BUT if you see something- message me with your shipping address and I can get you an accurate quote. I do mail world-wide, just let me know what you'd like and where you'd like it. (<--- something a Cyborg will NEVER whisper in your ear, lol)

Plaid for the Holidays- the Citizens of Rosebud space is festooned with sparkle, silks and plaid.

Blooming madly: how this little vintage garden has grown! I've been spending many hours working on my space here in Phinney, and look at the new back wall rack I've recently put up. Now I can showcase some of my favorite accessories and shoes, along with a rack or two of vintage coats, dresses and separates. Whatdaya think? Kinda cute, huh?

Linking up to Judith for her monthly Hat Attack, as well as joining the lovely Patti for yet another installment of Visible Monday. Wishing you all a marvelous and very humanly awesome week.

Your booth looks great!!!! So hard balancing a booth and the online--I found it very challenging time wise. I wouldn't worry too much about not being stocked to the fullest for the website. Aim for a full store for January. I find I do much better after the new year than I do in December anyways!
Stay human <3

The shop is looking great, and your hat is beautiful.
We all do as much as we can - and can do no more. The online shoppers will still be there when you refill your cyber rails, don't worry! xxxx

Words of wisdom - you are only one person, and you do as much as you can. Your little shop looks lovely, and there will always be people who will buy stuff online all year round. That is an adorable hat/fascinator, and in your fave plaid too! A perfect addition to Judith's Hat Attack.

I so wish I could pay a visit and run my hands along all those tartan/plaid and silk goodies you have on delicious display in your micro boutique. Those travel cases are especially covetable. Keep smiling - there's no smile like luminous Citizen Rosebud's (as seen in the 'grand opening party' image, third from the bottom pic).
