Mind the Music: Chicken in Corn

One string. Lots of chutzpah.

I think the moral of the story is, that when you put your attentions on what you can do, rather than what you have,  or don't have, you get things done. And in this case, the results is a catchy tune, showcasing the talent and enthusiasm of a street musician.

One string- and no complaints about not having the right guitar. Just plunk-plunkity-plunket and play.  How many times have you said you couldn't do something you wanted to do, because of a lack of something? And here this guy does DO it, with a banged up guitar missing nearly all of its strings.

We could learn a thing or two from Bushy One String.

It's been a blog tradition here at the Citizen Rosbud to take a blog-cation during the month of August, and this year, it comes in the nick of time. I've been toying with the idea of taking a "media break," for some time now, and take a step away from all  the social media channels. Battling stress, burn-out, and in need of some balance. We're going to use this time away offline to re-access our  needs and purpose, here online, and in real life.

LIMITED TIME ONLY: this LINK takes you to the special sale on eBay valid from now to August 16th: http://ebay.us/1MTF6O BUY 2 GET 15% OFF YOUR ORDER.

Wishing you all a wonderful end of summer and at least one string to showcase your talents.

God speed to you. I can relate to the break. I, too, am in need of a social media break and taking one beginning tonight through Sunday. It's time to disconnect to focus on what's important. Peace be with you.

Have you checked out Seasick Steve? He's amazing, also with beaten up equipment.

Enjoy the break! I don't have any media to give up and I love it (no phone, nothing but my blog) - take a Sheila-cation! :)

I don't know how you do it all! Very wise move to take a step back and reassess.
I saw this video of Johnnie one string a while back . So cool.

Love this guy with the one string. Cool he plays bass and is using the guitar for a percussive sound. I understand the need to take a break! Hope you do and relax!

I've been on the verge of a social media break, too, but I keep sneaking back! Better to do it your way and state your intentions, then just do it! Have a good break - I hope it clears your mind and inspires you.

Very inspiring Bella. Sometimes we all have but one string to play with. Have a great break and see you when you get back!

Very catchy music. And you are so right. Do with what you have. If I look at my outfit gallery, I feel very ashamed. What an unnecessary wealth.
Linking to your blog in two weeks.
Darling Bella.

Now THAT'S inspiration! I'm so glad I stopped by this morning. You've given me something to think about today. I realize in myself that often I am going for the next thing without utilizing what I already have. You enjoy your time off. I'm thinking of doing the same myself. I have lots of fall things going on with my family and a writing project I need to get on. Talk to you soon. Debbie @ ilovemylemonadelife.com
