Sacramento Style: L is for Loressa

Meet Loressa: a Tahoe transplant, now a stylish Sacramento denizen.
Sacramento street style representin' - Loressa Hutchinson
I shot these pictures of Loressa last February, when I was prowling the halls of Elks Tower during an intermission of Sacramento Fashion Week.  Can you see why? She rocks. Of course I'm loving her polka dots, but I also love how she styles her outfits, very cute, very chic. She's SO chic in fact, this is not the first time I've taken a picture of her. The first time I took a picture of Loressa was the first day I met her, when she showed up at a Citizens of Rosebud sale. She was such a cutie in her spiffy vintage plaid jacket and killer red vintage topper, that I just fell in love. She and her boyfriend Ethan, were then captured on film, and featured last November on Street Style SACRAMENTO. You can see how cute they are together here. Yeah, her style is pretty wicked.

So you shouldn't be too surprised that this stylish sweetie-pie has a fashion blog, should you? Do check it out- she's been stylin' up a storm lately over at L on Sac. AND... she's recently been named one of the winners of the Nine West America Vintage "Voice Your Style" Tumblr Contest, along with another Sacramento blogger babe, the amazing Angeline of The New Professional.  There's SO much rad style wandering the streets of Sacramento, and the Citizen Rosebud is happy to share it with you!

The Blogger & her Camera

The Sacramento fashion blogger is never far from her camera.  Whatever her personal style, it's her voice and her point of view is what makes her stand out from the crowd. These bloggers are just as much editors, writers and photographers as they are fashionistas. Each rely as much on what's in the camera bag as the make-up bag. What's your fashion blogger essential?

5 quick questions: Starship Narcissus

Ok, you already know I LOVE fashion blogger and style babe Lisa McCrea-Smith of Starship Narcissus. She is gorgeous, artistic and a fellow thrift-store enthusiast. She loves vintage fashion almost as much as it loves her, but best of all she is an environmentally conscious, green-to-to-the-gills real life person making real life choices for a lighter carbon footprint. She cares about the planet, eats organic, shops Fair Trade and lets her principles drive her politics.

Here's a bite-sized interview with this petite powerhouse.

Q: Who/What inspires you?
Starship Narcissus: Artists, friends, models, photographers.

Q: What's your favorite food?
Starship Narcissus: Pasta.

Q: When your daughter Beatrix grows up, is there any clothing/jewelry you plan to pass down to her?
Starship Narcissus: She gets the opal ring I wear (it's a family heirloom and her middle name is Opal) and anything that won't work when I'm 45.

Q: What's your favorite social/outfit network? Why?
Starship Narcissus: Chictopia always takes my pictures down, (I swear a moderator at Chictopia must have in in for me.) Lookbook has been better to me as of late, although I used to hate it, 'cause I got no love. This has nothing to do with the people that use these sites, who are lovely.

Q: I know you're a big fan of the T.V. show, Mad Men; has watching the show influenced your style?
Starship Narcissus: I love the style...I own a green dress that is so Betty Draper.

You can read more about this stellar style blogger on her blog: Starship Narcissus.
