outfit post: School-Girl Crush

Let's Get Parochial: there's nothing like indulging your inner school-girl
Here's hoping this will be the last set of poorly lit indoor shots for a long while. The studio is close to being ready for our Citizens of Rosebud April- Fool-For-You vintage Hoe-Down & Extravaganza.  We're just making the final touches of pretty (oh yeah, and pricing EVERYTHING) for our grand, grand, grand, grand, grand re-opening.

I'm thinking of posting some pics of my favorite pieces over here; what do you think, should I? If so, should I post prices and accept reservations, and/or online purchases? I do have my as yet to be utilized shop blog, shopthecitizen.com, and if enough people are interested would be happy to oblige. Let me know in the comments.

Now Wearing:
  • Citizen Rosebud embellished School-Grrl Jacket (available for sale)
  • Skanky ol' Black T-shirt
  • GAP plaid mini, from a free pile
  • We Love Colors tights in kelly green
  • Vintage 1980's Black Leather Booties, size 7 1/2 (available for sale)
  • Vintage 1960's Tapestry Tote (available for sale)

you are such a sight!! there is nothing i don't love about this outfit. it's a great take on the school girl look - quite a bit more sophisticated and streamlined without losing the playfulness. you are so good at never losing the playfulness of a look and it's something i admire greatly.

your eyebrows, btw, are so cool. i was just admiring them for several minutes.

My dear, dear Bella. I would love your blog to be about you and what you are.
If I were you, I would put the shop on the right handside SHOP BELLA´S or something like that, keeping the the centre free for you.
There is nothing more off putting than blogs who throough on your face shops and brands. In the end you cannot find the person who the blog is about.
Much love always.

I teach in a school where the girls wear plaid every day and leave saying they will never wear it again...maybe if they could have green legs, they would like it better!! So much more fun than knee socks!!

You make catholic school garb look good, and that's saying somethin comin from a recovering catholic school girl!! And I bet you didn't even hide cuss words in the plaid, which was a trend I started in 6th grade!! That was the only way I saw to make a uniform cool, but you've changed my mind!!

I'm more a shopper than a buyer, but I would definitely be interested in pricing and purchasing capability for pieces that move me -- either as blog entries, or as outfit links to your shop. Paypal makes this stuff pretty easy. I *can* be moved to buy if something really strikes me.

Like that teal-toned tapestry bag! Probably expensive to ship, though.

You are picture perfect in every way. As a good ole catholic school girl ( wink wink ), everything about that outfit speaks to me. I'd wear it in a heartbeat.

Happy happy Monday !

You are so stinkin' cute, Bella! I love that bag. And the tights -- wow!

Gosh, I'm so excited for your store re-re-reeeee-opening. I plan to be a loyal customer in no time :)

I'd watch the video but I'm on a college campus surrounded by kids doing homework. Wouldn't want to distract! Be back later!!!

Did I just get a pop-up ad??
Do you not get texts btw? Was in Sac yesterday and totally texted you the night before.

OMG I had a dream about you last night!!!!
You owned a fabulous clothing store, and I asked you if I could work there in the afternoons and weekends when I wasn't teaching! You were a little hesitant at first, but when I said I would work for minimum wage just to hang out at your shop, you happily agreed. Then I made milkshakes.

Please tell me more about that jacket - like how much it costs and what size it is and where you'll be selling it and if I have to go to Sacramento to get it.

You know where to find me.
