Last night there was snow! After a day of rain, and then a burst of hail, the conditions were finally right, and down came a feather dusting of snow. I snapped a pic when my boyfriend came home from work all wet and cold and snowed upon. He said the night looked so beautiful, as it was snowing out on the street, but I didn't make it past the porch steps. One quick click of a little weather-worn succulent, and back inside!
|Ruby red, and minty green heat up a Seattle winter's day.|
It's back to normal, a grey layer of cloud, and very cold! Well, at least for me- I am planning on bundling up to walk to work, with a layer of thermals under my jeans, and my 3-ply minty fresh cashmere turtleneck sweater- something that would have been way too warm to ever wear in my old stomping grounds of Sacto. Brrrrr!
These outfit photos were taken a few weeks ago- it was cold that day, but not so cold that I couldn't get away with not wearing socks- you can be sure TODAY I will be wearing two pairs, and my all weather Ahnu boots! These boots, (first written about HERE) have really come in handy here in Seattle. I recommend them now, more than ever!

Wishing you all a toasty and roast-y sort of day! -Bella Q

Living in a warm weather it is difficult to understand what really cold weather feels like.
Rebecca in Berlin just , like you, layer clothes and tights.
Wonderful to think of snow though.
You look fabulous with your red shoes.
Much love, my dear hermana.
Mint and red ... of COURSE! Wish I'd thought of it, but glad you did!
Our snowiest months are January and February here, but it beats my business to death. Here's to all snow going where it is wanted and needed. And only mid-week.
Yay for snow! You look lovely! <3
I have been digging minty hues a lot, lately!! And your sweater looks so warm & comfy!!!! <3
It's gotten pretty cold here too! Though snow is something we can only see in pictures (like yours)...
funny coincidence, yesterday I thrifted a mint green cashmere sweater more or less like yours, I only bought it because it was cheap, only a fiver and in mint (eh,eh) condition and I'm crazy about cashmere, but had no idea on how to match this difficult colour, you gave me a good idea, I'll go for red!
I know how you feel. I like wearing my sweaters too, but as soon as I'm done clicking, it's time to get back inside. I'm ready for warmer weather.
Lovely mint sweater and great shoes!
You look so warm! I agree with Sacramento!! Hard to imagine it being that cold lolzzz
I love those clogs, they are gorgeous. You're still brave to go sockless even in that cold though, my toes would drop off I'm sure. Fabulous cosy hat too. X
I'm envious of your sockless feet. I'm in wool socks right now. Cute, cute shoes and bracelet, and well everything. You do it right.
The hail almost looks like little fish eggs. What a great pic. I love looking at snow but my body just can't tolerate it anymore. I love your minty sweater with the red at and the shoes.
I do really like the combination of mint green & red - it's getting colder here too!
The mint and red combo is wonderful. Also, your butt looks great. Can I say that? Oh well, too late.
I utterly love that cashmere jumper. It's gorgeous and such a beautiful colour. Love the way you teamed it with red xxx
love your red shoes and hat, and your pretty accessories so minty-matchy!, wish you also a warm weekend!
besos & nieves
I'm really crazy about mint green at the moment. Love it combined with red!
Snow! That's a wonderful picture, Bella. Love your cozy sweater. Bundle up and be safe!
LOVE the color combo! great shoes. I just love you,ya know?
Those are some tall clogs. Be careful out there in those! Red is a fantastic color on you Bella, but how ever did you get the little hail pellets to land so nicely around that lotus flower plant?? Cool photo!
Brr, I'm cold and I'm going back under my blanket now. ;)
I love the mint with the red...I do not think I would have put them together without seeing your outfit! Stay warm, Bella!!
I adore that last photo! Stay warm, dear Bella!
I started the week off wearing tights, a winter coat and boots. I'll end the week wearing just a dress, cotton leggings and sandals. It feels like springtime. Stay warm!
Gorgeous color on you!!! Love the Red shoes!!!
The colors of this outfit are very "Life Aquatic"
Mint green and red, wow! Great combo. I mean, a mint green fisherman's knit sweater is pretty special, but adding the red is pure genius!
We had snow this morning, and may get more tomorrow. But next week is going to be REALLY cold.
At first I thought, oh no .. red hat with mint - doesn't work, but then I saw your cute red shoes and it all tied in together .. very nice look!
Keeping warm is the name of the game. But I love how you've lit up the place with your mint and red and sparklies.
I utterly adore mint and red together and the clogs are stunning!!A great colours combination to keep us warm and cheerful during these cold winter days!!
Love the colour of the sweater. It's cold here too..and they say we will get a blast of more winter weather, not looking forward to that. I rather stay inside. Hope you have a marvellous weekend xx
Hello my love, I'm back!!! As cold as it is for you, is as warm as it is for me. We're turning the air con on at 7am evry day this week. Sounds like the cashmere is doing it's job for you, isn't it a dream to wear?!
So pretty! I've been loving mint lately. I hope to wear more of it this Spring/Summer.
You are so rocking the mint green and red I would have never thought about pairing those colors but they totally work. I love those clogs. Stay warm darling!
You look sooo cozy in your yummy minty cashmere! I am totally in love with your clogs.
Love the outfit, especially that nice warm looking sweater. And you are looking great in those skinny jeans! I wish I could look that good in a pair of 'em.
We've had warmer weather the past few days here in PA. It's supposed to get up to 60 tomorrow and we're all excited! A friend of mine from SoCal said it was down to 28 there, and not in the mountains, either. It usually doesn't go below 40 unless you're at the beach. This weather is bananas lately.
Love this shade and the coziness factor!
Happy New Year girl! xo
visiting here with a smile. take care.. have a nice day ~ =)

It's been crazy cold in LA too! But not snowing of course. How exciting to live in a place that snows. Love your minty green cashmere sweater with the bright red cap. Great color combo. And those jeans look great on you!
Mint and red... I would never have thought to put those two together but I like it! It is like 70 degrees in Atlanta so I am missing my winter clothes. I really want to wear my sweaters. So I can turn on the air-conditioning I guess and wear them. :-)
If I didn't have stupid skinny wrists like a second grader, that cuff would be mine, mine, MINE! Also, I great covet your sweater - the detailed cable is fabulous, and that color would make anybody look awesome.
Great colour combination Bella. So refreshing!
Love the sweater and clogs .... so so comfy !!
That is such a pretty sweater and I'm glad you are getting some wearing time for it, My Seattle friends laughed for years at all the layers I had to wear to stay warm the first few years I lived there. Now that I have acclimated to Tulsa, when I was in Sacramento for Christmas, I was stunned by the cold.
I love this mint color, very sweet and comfy !
Delicious minty color, and you're looking as fresh as the newly fallen snow. The addition of red is a magical surprise. Stay warm!
Oh! I'm loving mint lately, too, but have yet to pick up a piece in this shade. Reminds me so much of some of my middle school outfits in the early nineties - I even had mint nail polish back then right alongside my plastic rings. Love this sweater, especially paired with your jeans and red clogs. Love!
Oh your outfit looks so cosy and warm, the best for cold days like this ! I love your shoes, adorable ! Have a fabby day ! xx Tani
Yay for wearing red clogs B! I wear mine all year long but like today it snowed heavy so snow boots all the way.
Your hat is like the cherry on top of mint ice cream :-)
Those shoes are the coolest! Your look great!
