SECONDHAND FIRST: Lucy's Lounge Dublin

SHOP SECONDHAND FIRST: Lucy's Lounge in Dublin Ireland

Starting this month, there's going to be a new regular feature here at the Citizen Rosebud. I intend to introduce you to people, places and things from secondhand shops. No one + no place would make a better premiere, then the marvelous + magical Diedre of Lucy's Lounge in Dublin.

She's a regular on the +40 fashion blogger circuit, so you've probably seen her lovely comments on your blogs, but did you know she's been running a thriving vintage shop in Dublin for 25 years? After she left me the kindest, most supportive comment on my post announcing my space at Atlas, I became even more besotted with her, and discovered this YouTube video about her shop, which makes a great introduction to Lucy's Lounge, and great inspiration to SHOP SECONDHAND FIRST.

Lucy's Lounge
11 Lower Fownes Street
Ranelagh, Dublin 2
Ireland
Hours: Monday-Sunday 12-6pm

Fan Lucy's Lounge on Facebook

If you know someone, something or someplace that you'd like to see featured in SECONDHAND FIRST, drop me a line and share it!  Be sure to put "Secondhand First"  in the subject line, and mail me HERE.

Great post Bella, I've only just discovered Deirdre's blog and I enjoyed the video about her despite squabbling children in the background here. Would love to get the chance to visit her shop next time I go to Ireland. xx

Lucy won my heart with her pink storefront, amazing hounds and her wild artistic style. She really is making the corner of her universe a better place. If I ever get to Ireland I will hug this woman and buy something fab! Nice feature!

You are right, what a lovely, warm person she is. I looked at the video and you can feel her magic. Hopes she finds a second perfect dress.
I am quite hopeless in creating things from scratch, so the shop would not do me any good. But if I am in the neighbourhood... I will stop by anyway.

What a great little film, well discovered, Bella. Deirdre is a lovely warm soul, and her shop looks amazing, wouldn't it be great to hang out there for a while? I love the story about her buying the fabulous dress and having to go hme barefoot - there's dedication to vintage frockery for you! xxxx

Very cool, Bella! I should have gone to a vintage shop whilst in London last year. I will make sure to do so on my next trip abroad. If/when I go to Ireland, I'll be sure to look up Deirdre's shop!

I have a shop to recommend for you to feature in San Diego. I'll send drop you a line :)
