Outfit Post: Tam-Print-Stripe-Plaid Bam

Bright is not how I've been dressing lately. I've become friends with the flat and the practical, realizing that cute high heeled shoes don't walk well up or down steep soggy hills. And lately, I live on a hill. Layered wooly things and jeans with bulky coats are, out of practicality, what you'd see me in, were you to run into me offline. So this morning, inspired by Patti and the Visible crew, I decided to doll up and wear favorites, not practicals.

Viola.

A wintery play of red, white and blue. Wooly vintage Tam, vintage scarf, thrifted sweater and skirt. And magick shoes. Bam.

Thank you, Patti for reminding me that to feel visible one must dress to be seen.

Now Wearing:
  • vintage Tam, thrifted
  • vintage scarf, Scout Living
  • lambswool pullover, thrifted
  • plaid skirt with tulle, thrifted
  • black tights, get yours HERE
  • booties, c/o Nordstoms via gift card

See me over at Visible Mondays over at Patti's Not Yet Dead Style

So cute! I know what you mean about practical everyday wear! Hard to blog about daily fashion when every day fashion always involves "practical" stuff.

Oh, I love the skirt and that wedge heel on the bootie is probably more walking and hill-climbing friendly than it might seem.

Love that plaid skirt! Sometimes the weather is a bore. When it gets really hot here I don't know what to wear. I just end up in shorts and tank tops every day. You need some brings rain coats!

Magic shoes (check!) No chance of invisibility here, and in the cutest way. Beautiful, really. Enjoy the rest of your holidays, and very good business luck. You clearly have the Karma for it!

I lived 42 years in a cold climate, and it works to be unpractical. Forced to endure constant comments such as "there is no bad weather only bad clothing" (in Swedish, it rhymes), but I can live with them ... Stay visible and unpractical!

You look great Bella! Sometimes it's nice to wear impractical yet stunning clothes ^_^

Darling skirt! Do you know about the monthly post Jill of Everything Just So and I do? We pick one item, or color, or trend and ask people to send us photos of themselves wearing said trend, color or item. December's theme is plaid! Would you mind if we use your look on our post December 4th? Let me know when you have a moment. That skirt is just perfect! xo, A

Jeans might be a little better, but if you can get a pair of wool tights, you'll be able to wear your dresses most of the Seattle Winter.
That black and blue striped sweater is terrific on you. When I saw that your heading had the word "plaid" in it, I was a little afraid you'd gone over to the Seattle grunge side. Silly me - I needn't have worried.

Nicely done, Bella! You look smashing in your tam, scarf, skirt, and electric booties. I like how you articulate the effects of the process of settling in to your new home.
