Outfit Post: Nineties Legs

Thoughtful in Seattle: the thinking girl's neutral, grey is a smart move for a Monday.
Grey Matters: A quiet palette of grey and black blends into the Seattle landscape. Or does it? Feeling quite visible and pow-pow-pow in my grey sweatshirt and cut-offs ala grunge. As someone put described it, I've got "nineties legs."

And yup, I did dress like this in the 1990's, so perhaps I am breaking some fashion rules (you know the one, if you wore it the first time, you shouldn't be wearing it now.) But let me tell you,

I felt more attractive and styling in this outfit, than I have in a loooong while. So rocking what worked for me back in my hay-day makes me feel: hey, today's my day!

Also making my day, nay, my MONTH is the honor to be named Blogger of the Month by The Fabulous Times. Do check out this fantastic website and, if you'd like, read my interview here.

You should be blogger of the month every month! You look absolutely gorgeous, especially in that photo with the smile. And you prove that rules are made to be whoop-assed!

Oh, you are totally owning this look! Love the hearts, love the hat...dang, you even make a grey sweatshirt look haute couture.

Big congrats on blogger of the month!!

Those pieces all thrown together look exactly right - I don't know people who do that with the ease you do. Great interview! And, yup, great gams.

You could wear a burkha and still be visible, it's all in the attitude and you've got it.
Love those sexy tights and all that leg on display.
That's such a stupid rule about not wearing something we remember from the first time round, especially when we were gawky teenagers when it was first in fashion. We learn to accept and live with our "flaws" as we get older so it stands to reason that our confidence makes everything we wear rock!
Well done on being Blogger of the Moth and I'm hugely honoured by the mention. You never fail to inspire me. xxxx

I think you look fantastic & don't agree with that 'don't wear it the second time round' nonsense. Just wear it differently.

And I love a grey sweatshirt.

If anyone can pull off the 90's legs it's you! Love the pattern on those tights. Such a fun departure from the usual pattern in stores today.- Katy

I remember the tights-under-shorts thing, which has had a resurgence of popularity amongst the 20-somethings here. I remember wearing men's long underwear under a pair of army shorts in the winter. You've got great gams, girl, and you can tell you're feeling sassy in this outfit!

YOu are a Fabulous Blogger, this month, or any month - Congrats!

Well, of COURSE you are a fabulous blogger (of this month, last month, next month and the one after that too). And the decade is irrelevant, you have fabulous legs!

This ensemble truly displays your talent and your spirit. Fashion rules have never made sense to me. If you feel good and you look fab, which you do, it's a winner.

It's a fabulous look on you, Bella, you radiate positivity and confidence. I don't take the slightest notice of the "not if you wore it first time around" (so-called) rule! Congratulations on being chosen as Blogger of the Month, that's great news! xxx
