Americana, From Around the World

This blonde vixen is from Sweden. Or Finland. Or Norway. Whatever the country, the capitol is Deliciousness. Discover  Elinkin.

Just one of my all-time favorite fashion bloggers wearing one of my all-time favorite color combos. Meggs is going big-time! She been featured in magazines from all around the world, Sweden, America & now Japan!  I present you the fabulous Meggs of Another Day to Dress Up:

メッグス場合は、クールなかわいい よ!
Meggusu baai wa, kūru na kawaii yo!

And speaking of Japanese, Tokyo Street fashion is such a thrill to see. The creativity in the dress there is awe-inducing. Here's a clever re-button on a sweater. Cute-as-buttons, eh?

Here's another recent pic of Japanese street yumminess:   Red gingham, white wicker and seersucker stripe britches gets my vote!

Cooler than cucumber cool are the uber-basic & ultra-hip garments of American Apparel. Youth driven images, American-made & sweatshop free. Here's their version of the red, white & blue:

Mega-blogger, Jessica of What I Wore, could give a master class in awesome outfit styling. She too, is rocking the Americana look in seersucker.
(Turns out she did indeed give a class in styling at Lemondrop.com  Read her savvy advice here.

And here's my favorite summer color scheme, as seen & worn by crafter Michelle of the  Green Kitchen  for a Fourth of July celebration.

 Meet the muse:

And light the fuse!

Happy 4th of July weekend, everybody!

It's great to see so many styles of dressing all on one great blog! we were soo inspired by the different ways to being out red white and blue (without buying a tacky old navy tee) that we might actually go all american tomorrow. Thanks for a great post!

I just commented on Thrift Candy's 4th of July blog about how red, white, and blue is the best color combo, and it's funny how people always say "oh aren't you the patriot?" or something.

These are lovely. And WHy wasn't I born Swedish, or Finnish, or Norweigan?!
