So this morning I dolled up in what I wished I could be wearing before I put on my work clothes and headed off to the salt mines.
My dear ol' D said to me when he swung by after work to pick me up. We were headed over to the Tower Cafe to sip $2 dollar Anchor Steams and meet with some friends.
"Those are the shortest shorts I've ever seen you wear, "
They are indeed, very short. I had just put my fantasy wearing in-my-head outfit back on, and that entailed putting on the short shorts. And I probably shouldn't be sportin' them. Being a uh, womanly sort, it's probably best to keep hems nearer to the knee. ZZZZZZ. Boring! Besides, these shorts are super cool. I got them last summer from Target. They're organic cotton, made by Loomstate for Target and they've got the cutest little bird print all over them. And in my head, I'm sporting them with my high-heeled gladiator sandals, looking all summer-in-the-city.
But in real life, I put on a pair of ballerina flats. Casual went better with two dollar beers.
