outfit post: Ikat's Meow

I've been heavy on the outfit posts lately. I hope you find that a good thing.

I've been busy writing and blogging; you can check out my latest street fashion capture over at Street Style SACRAMENTO here: http://streetstylesacramento.com. And I just had a blast filming youtube videos of street music over for at the Midtown Bazaar. AND, I've been busy setting up the Citizens HQ and getting ready to post some items up on my Etsy shop. Hopefully I'll get some pieces up by tomorrow, and get my career as Etsy vintage seller going.

Shall I talk about the weather? Sacramento is caught up in some strange wintry throwback- we just went from bright sunny days to a weekend of thunder...rain...and HAIL. Yes, folks, on Sunday it hailed, which is a rarebit for these parts, especially this time of year. Today, it's is overcast, rainy and a double helping of gloomy. Unlike this summery jersey dress. I love the cool hues of the blue and green on the ikat print. For some reason, I find it hard to mix with- it doesn't seem to look good layered or mixed with anything else- so here you have it, simple and sweet.

The dress has been worn before and you can see previous stylings here, and here.

On a whole other note: I'm thinking about writing a post regarding tips on Tweeting. Any of you interested in reading about making the most of your Twitter account?
The back view is dedicated to Katy Rose of Modly Chic. If you have to ask, you don't wanna know.
Now Wearing:
  • Heart-shaped Sunglasses, in white, Prevues
  • Shortened & hemmed Ikat print jersey-knit dress, thrifted
  • Vintage green wooden bead bracelet, gifted
  • Vintage Hand-tooled, hand-made Moroccan leather slippers

You always look so great. I love this dress. The color is dynamic on you.

I'm so OVER this weird winter that we are in the middle of. I thought it was always hotter in Sacramento. But then again, I'm a bit geographically challenged. It's supposed to get sunny by Thursday!

Very attractive outfit. I love the sunglasses. Please keep those outfit-posts coming!

And I could really benefit from your Twitter tips. I barely know what I'm doing there.

The weather has been nuts hasn't it? It's rainy and gloomy down here as well.

Love your dress. There are some that simply refuse to mix with anything!

If you could explain #FF I would be endlessly grateful, especially if you could tell me how to easily put one together myself! I can never remember everyone's twitter names. Sigh...

The 'summery-ness' of your dress and the weather is making this Manchester (UK) girl wistful. You look lovely. And yes, Twitter tips would be good - you're such a master.

Love the word play of your title! That dress is super cute and such great colors. As for the twitter tutorial - hells yes. I'm a tweeting school drop-out, so I'd love to hear tips and twicks;)

I'd love to see a post on making the most of your twitter account. And hail at this time of year seems almost apocalyptic doesn't it? We had it in June a few years ago - completely random and the size of golfballs. Cars dented, children harmed. Then it stopped as soon as it started. So strange.

Ahhhh...just lovely!! I love these images too...the contrast between stark and girlie...and I love how you marry girlie with edgy every time!

I don't have a Twitter account but I'm looking forward to reading what you have to say.

Gimme those heart sunnies now! I love them and my collection could use a white pair.

And yes to the Twitter article, but please include that they have to tweet you at least once a day for maximum twitter potential!

Love the hear shaped sunnies and the print of your dress. We had some schizophrenic weather here too, we also had hail out of nowhere.
